1. What do I need to register for camp?
Baseball Campers must complete and send in the following items:
· 2-page registration form found here
· updated immunization records
· payment (see Schedule & Fees page for more information)
Please obtain a copy from your pediatrician.
Elite Baseball Campers must only complete a 1-page registration form found (see website) and aren’t required to provide immunization records.
2. Can you sign up weekly?
Yes! Families may sign up for whichever – and however – many weeks they’d like.
3. What happens if it rains?
During rain days, we have access to covered outdoor areas as well as the indoor centers. Camp is held rain or shine - we’ve never once had to cancel a camp day!
4. What are the hours of camp?
Baseball Camp runs from 9am – 3pm, Monday thru Friday.
5. Where is Drop off and pickup?
For Baseball Camp, drop off is at the large baseball field parking lot of Congers Lake Memorial Park. The large baseball field parking lot is located right next to the tennis courts, directly across the street from the park swimming pool. Pick up is at the same location on the large baseball field.
6. Are there extra hours?
We have extended hours available for Baseball and All Sports campers. Campers may arrive as early as 7:30am and stay as late as 5pm, for an additional cost. Please contact us for pricing.
7. What are the ages to be a camper? A counselor?
For Baseball Camp, campers range from 6-13 years old.
For All Sports Camp, campers range from 6-14 years old.
For Elite Baseball Camp, campers range from 13-16 years old.
To become a counselor for any of our camps, prospective employees must be at least 16 years of age, as per the Department of Health. Please contact us for a staff application if interested.
8. Do I need to be a resident to swim in pool?
Campers don’t have to be Clarkstown residents to swim at Pitch by Pitch – all campers have access to swim in the pool during camp days.
9. Does my child have to pass the deep water test to swim in the pool?
Those who wish to swim in the deep end must pass a deep water test. For those campers who aren’t able to pass the deep water test, they must remain in water no higher than chest deep, as per the Department of Health’s regulations.
10. Can I access the indoor game room during camp hours?
To access the indoor recreation center, campers must have a Town ID card. To obtain a community center ID card from Clarkstown, please visit this page.
10. Do you provide transportation?
We do not provide transportation for our Baseball or All Sports Camps.
For those Elite Baseball campers who opt for our extended day will be bused from Clarkstown HS North (the drop off site at 8am) to Congers Lake Memorial Park (the pick up site at 3pm)
11. Do you provide snacks?
We do provide snacks and drinks for purchase. Each item typically sells for $1.
