Brandon Mann

Baseball Coach Brandon MannAfter spending two years as 1st Assistant Coach and Pitching Coach at Division I Iona College, Brandon accepted the full-time graduate coaching position at Manhattanville College in Purchase, NY in the fall of 2008. At MVILLE, Brandon will help out in the every day aspects of the Valiant Baseball Program as he pursues his master’s degree in physical education. In Mann's first year, Manhattanville College won the Freedom Conference Championship as the team went on to hit .356 with 23Hrs and average over 10 runs a game. They also led the nation in stolen bases with 162 in 41 games. Before making the move into coaching, Coach Mann had a successful collegiate baseball career at Florida Atlantic University and Lynn University in Boca Raton. As a member of the 11th ranked 2003 A-Sun Champion FAU Owls Coach Mann competed in the regional at Coral Gables. He also played a big role in leading Lynn University to its first NCAA regional appearance, losing to eventual national champion Tampa University. As a co-captain of the 2002 Clarkstown North state championship team, Coach Mann was named New York State Player and Athlete of the Year in 2002. Along with fellow owner John Bagatta, Coach Mann led the 2002 Rockland Pirates to the American Legion World Series in Danville, VA, finishing 5th in the country and losing to the eventual champions Mississippi. Coach Mann was elected to the Clarkstown North Hall of Fame in 2009 for his impressive baseball accomplishments. He resides in Nyack, NY.


Greg Chertok

Baseball Coach Greg ChertokGreg Chertok is currently a Sport Psychology Counselor and Fitness Trainer at The Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation Center (PMR) in Englewood, NJ. He received his B.A. in Psychology at Tufts University and M.Ed. in Counseling specializing in Sport & Exercise Psychology at Boston University in 2007. While at Tufts, he captained the 2006 Baseball team and, as the three-year starting shortstop, led the team to its 14th consecutive winning season and the conference championship. He finished his career as an ESPN The Magazine Academic Regional All-American and a New England College All-Star, playing his final game at Fenway Park for the All-Star team. At PMR, Greg has created the EXACT Sports and Just for KIX programs, which act as joint physical and mental conditioning programs for students to enhance athletic performance and develop healthy lifestyles. Greg has written numerous articles in various athletic newsletters on sport psychology topics, and has co-authored a book geared toward youth baseball coaches entitled The Baseball Starter: A Handbook for Coaching Children and Teens. He resides in Bardonia, NY.


John Bagatta

Baseball Coach John BogattaJohn Bagatta received his degree in Business Management at Lynn University in Boca Raton, FL. He currently plays for the Palm Beach Waves of the National Amateur Baseball League (NABA), a highly competitive and nationally acclaimed wood bat league made up of former Major League, Minor League, Independent, and collegiate ballplayers, earning the prestigious MVP award during the 2005 NABA Championship game. With Coach Mann, Bagatta helped lead the American Legion Rockland Pirates to back-to-back state titles, a regional title, and a berth into the 2002 World Series in Danville, VA. Bagatta along with Mann, co-captained the 2002 Clarkstown North team to a state championship, and has been directing youth sports camps in the Rockland and Westchester areas for over 5 years. Presently, John resides in Florida where he works alongside top youth baseball coaches providing baseball training, running clinics, and giving one-on-one lessons.

Chris Skrypack

Chris Skrypack is a former high school and collegiate baseball All-Star. A member of the 2002 Clarkstown High School North Rams State Championship team, Skrypack began his college career with a one-year stint at Rockland Community College, where he was honored as a 2nd Team All Conference pitcher. He transferred to Central Connecticut State University, earning Pitcher of the Week honors in March of 2004. He captained the St. Thomas Aquinas College baseball team his junior and senior years, winning the 2007 Spartan Leadership Award and earning a spot on the NYCAC All Academic Team. He’s played on highly competitive Summer League teams, including the 2001 American Legion OTB Pirates team and 2006 ACBL New York Generals. Chris resides in New City, NY.


Michael Kolesar

Baseball Coach Michael KolesarAfter captaining the Clarkstown North Baseball team in 2001 and receiving All-League honors in his last two seasons, Kolesar played for Division II Caldwell College and enjoyed one of the most impressive four-year college careers in the school’s history. As team captain for three years, Kolesar was a 3-time All-CACC and All-State athlete for the Cougars. In 2000 he was 2nd in the nation among Division II ballplayers in stolen bases. He made 1st Team All-Region as a Pitcher/Outfielder, and earned the CACC Tournament MVP that year. Kolesar was also an NCAA Division II Regional Championship participant during his illustrious career. Afterwards, he became a winter clinic coach for Caldwell and a private baseball instructor at The Academy in Fairfield, NJ. Last year he was an assistant coach in the New City Little League organization, and is currently the manager of the Clarkstown Stars ball club. Michael resides in New City, NY.


Michael Murphy

Michael Murphy was a three-year Clarkstown North varsity baseball player and starred as a leader on the NY State Championship team in 2002, impressively receiving All-League, All-Section, and 4th Team All-State honors that year. Throughout his high school career, Michael earned a number of accolades. During his sophomore season in 2000 he received MVP of the Dan Casey Tournament, and received All-League, second team All-County, and honorable mention All-Section a year later. After high school Michael played four years of baseball at the College of Saint Rose. Michael graduated from the College of Saint Rose with a degree in Elementary Education. He is now a fifth grade teacher at Hector Fonatanez School located in Bronx, New York. Michael resides in New City, NY.


Greg Baron

Baseball Coach Greg BaronGreg Baron is currently a student at Clarkstown North High School and starter for the Ram's varsity baseball team. Greg also plays in the Clarkstown Stars organization and has participated in regional tournaments both as a pitcher and infielder. In 2005 Greg’s team was the 4th runner up in the Gil Hodges World Series, and a year later his team played in the Cooperstown Dream Park Tournament where 96 of the country’s top engage in a championship week-long tournament. Greg looks forward to his third season as a Pitch by Pitch Baseball coach.


Jason Vosler

Baseball Coach Jason Vosler Jason Vosler is a student at Don Bosco Prep High School, currently a shortstop/infielder on the team. This year his Don Bosco team placed second in the County Championship. Within the Clarkstown Stars organization, Jason’s teams have enjoyed continued success in a number of competitive arenas including the Cooperstown Dreams Park Tournament. Here Jason placed 5th out of 96 contestants in the Home Run Derby. He now plays for the North Jersey Cardinals in the summer and fall seasons, and will be playing Varsity baseball at Don Bosco this upcoming spring. A highly-touted prospect, his aspirations are to play high-level collegiate baseball. This is his second season as a Pitch by Pitch Baseball coach.
