Baseball Camp Reviews - Rocklank County, New York

Some of the most impressive attributes of these three men include their pledge to excellence in all they set out to do. The desire to learn as much about the game of baseball and work hard to improve their skills was impressive to see in young athletes. Maybe most notable is the sportsmanship and class in which they carried themselves both on and off the baseball field.

I have had the fortunate opportunity to maintain contact with Greg, John and Brandon since their high school days. I have observed them coaching young baseball athletes at their summer camps, seen them work with ballplayers at our North Clinics, viewed them speaking to parents and college players and have seen the way they teach the game. In all of these situations I have been consistently floored by their professional nature and knowledge of the baseball. Often, I would hear my own words being used which tells me many things especially that they “always listened.”

Finally, I have spoken to a wide range of parents who have sent their children to Pitch by Pitch Baseball camps and Greg, Brandon and John time after time receive spectacular reviews.

I feel that these three young coaches have much to offer the world of baseball. Whether it is a camp you are deciding on or a coach’s clinic you are looking for, I can highly recommend John Bagatta, Greg Chertok and Brandon Mann. I guarantee you will learn a lot about the intricacies of the game by the knowledge and passion they demonstrate for baseball.

As the high school coach of many instructors at Pitch by Pitch, I am very proud to see these players giving back to their community and their continued passion for baseball. Their successful experiences in high school and at the collegiate level have given them a wealth of knowledge to offer to our youth players. They have always possessed a strong work ethic and have now channeled their passion in helping young baseball players develop as athletes.

My son Eric and I have known Brandon, John and Greg for the past four years. Eric has gone to Pitch by Pitch Baseball Camp since it started. Eric has learned and reinforced his skills in all facets of the game and has been motivated to reach new levels of excellence. In addition, Eric has taken private pitching lessons with Brandon which helped tremendously as he competed against a higher level of competition this fall. Brandon, John and Greg bring an enthusiasm to baseball which is unparalleled.

I just wanted to thank the entire staff at Pitch by Pitch for their patience and generosity. We participate in a program called the Fresh Air Fund where a child from New York City comes and stays with our family for 2 weeks in the summer. These are typically under-privileged kids with little opportunity to participate in camps and outdoor activities we here in Rockland take for granted. When I contacted Pitch by Pitch and let them know that the Fresh Air child staying with us,along with my two sons, would be joining the camp, they refused to take money for the child and let him come to camp for a free week! The child had never played baseball before and was hesitant to go to a baseball camp but they made him feel comfortable and after the 1st day he was asking me to take him to the field to practice because he had a "big game" the next day and wanted to be prepared. They got him interested in this great game of baseball and he will never forget how they made him feel welcomed. Thanks guys.

As a parent we must tell you that each one of you are extremely exceptional role models and if our sons did not learn a thing all summer long we would pay for the experience of having you guys with them. I hope our sons one day will be able to touch the lives of other children like you have done for our sons. Again, thank you all for being who you are!

I think that the program you guys put together was instructional, motivating and mostly FUN for the kids. Our son had a terrific time during his week even with the bad weather. He looks forward to joining you again next year and has already asked to do more than a week. Have a great year and we'll see you in the summer!

Just a note to thank you. My boys had a fabulous time in your camp and really developed their baseball skills. You are not only great baseball players but great teachers and counselors. We’re looking forward to next year.

I cannot tell you how much our son enjoyed your camp. He was disappointed that he only was able to attend the camp for 1 week. I will definitely have to rearrange his camp next year to incorporate more camp. Please keep us posted for next summer!

The Pitch by Pitch Baseball team has put together an impressive group of coaches and baseball minds. Greg Chertok was not only a great college baseball player but he was an exemplary teammate who had a great passion and awareness for the game. He is the exact person I would want to coach my kids at a younger age where he can instill the values of hard work, integrity, and fun that he brings to the field every day. Pitch by Pitch Baseball camp is an excellent way for young players to learn not only the fundamentals of baseball but great lessons and values for both baseball and life.
